Orange County DJ company Music Man Event Professionals was the DJ of choice for the Mission Viejo High School Class of 1980 reunion at the Renaissance Club Sport Hotel in Aliso Viejo.

The reunion planning committe had some concerns about their reunion.  They wanted it to be a reunion that people would really enjoy and remember.  In all honesty, they wanted it to be a great party!  So they came to Orange County’s favorite DJ company Music Man Event Professionals to see how we could help.

After spending some time really getting to understand what they were looking for we were able to use our extensive experience to make some recommendations on how we could make this reunion really stand out.  You see, the committee had been to other school reunions recently and were shocked at how many people didn’t participate in the event and instead wandered to other parts of the hotel to entertain themselves.  They were insistent that this not happen at their event.

First we needed to make the room inviting.  So we put together a lighting set up that would encourage a “party” mentality among the guests.  In this setup we included up lighting, a custom gobo and club style dance floor lighting.  By the time the sun went down and the lights were able to pop, the room looked great.  We received a lot of compliments on how good the room looked with the red uplighting (their school colors) and the gobo.

So next we had to work on a time line and we used our vast experience to counsel the committee on how the timeline show run in order to keep things moving and get people engaged quickly and out on the dance floor before we would lose them.  We had some announcements that had to be made and then also had to incorporate a live performance from a member of the class who is a musician and was going to play his guitar and sing.  (We provided sound support for him too!)

Our timeline worked flawlessly, we were able to get through all of the formalities that needed to happen and get them out on the dance floor!  After that they were hooked!  We had people engaged the entire night with people on the dance floor, making request and just having a great time!

At the end of the night we were greated with a thunderous applause and then had most of the remaining guests (by then it was midnight!) approaching us to tell we we did a phenomenal job.  This is exactly what we work extremely hard to hear.  We were glad to be a part of the Mission Viejo Class of 1980 reunion and were extremely glad we could contribute so much to the reunion’s success.

Her DJ cancelled on her at the very last minute!  Unfortunately, we hear this all too frequently.  Why would this happen?  Most often, we hear the excuses that either (a) the DJ’s full-time job needs them to work during the date they booked to come and DJ for you; or (b) they got a better offer to go out with their friends and really don’t need the money.

You see, cheap DJs are typically hobbyists that DJ for extra money on the weekends or they are kids that work for far less than what you are paying them through a broker.  Most of them don’t know what responsibility is and since their livelihood doesn’t depend on it, there is no skin off their back to cancel.

Orange County DJ company Music Man Event Professionals was selected as the DJ of choice for the Oso Grande Elementary School in Ladera Ranch.  Every year, the parents of the 6th graders get together with the teachers and sponsor an activity-filled afternoon for the graduating 6th graders on the day before the last day.  It gives the kids one more fun time together before they are off to middle school next session.

This year the parents picked Music Man Event Professionals as their DJ of choice.  They put the entire success of the event in their hands because they believed the skills and abilities that Music Man possessed were the best for entertaining their kids.

The event started at 9 am and was held outside at the Covenant Hills Clubhouse in Ladera Ranch.  We needed a system that was loud enough to fill the party area but not so loud that it disturbed the neighbors.  So we brought our mid-range setup and it worked perfectly and looked professional too.  We then worked with the group to put some decoration around the system to really make it warm and festive for the event. As you can see in the picture to the right, it worked!

As the afternoon began, it was up to Orange County DJ company Music Man Event Professionals to come up with some activities to keep the kids engaged andentertained throughout the entire afternoon.  So we coordinated such activities as dance competitions, limbo contests and more that were extremely successful!

After the event ended we got showered with praise by both the parents and the kids and were made to promise that we would again help out with next year’s party.  We gladly agreed.  I actually think at this party, we had just as much fun as the kids did!  Congrats again to Oso Grande Elementary 6th graders from Orange County DJ company, Music Man Event Professionals!

Orange County DJ Company Music Man Event Professionals was the DJ of choice for a corporate employee appreciation day luncheon in Irvine this afternoon, honoring over 300 employees.  This event took place at the Duck Club located in Irvine.

The challenge with this event is that the company employs a wide range of demographics and they wanted to make sure everyone enjoyed the music and had a positive experience at the event.  They weren’t looking for people to dance but if it just happened to be a side effect, they wouldn’t complain.

So we made sure to mix in everything from today’s pop favorites to classic rock, disco, Motown and jazz.  We also encouraged everyone to come up and let us know what they wanted to hear.  We were flooded with requests and everyone got a little taste of what they liked.  So much that the senior executive staff at the company had informed me that the employees were ranting and raving about how good of a time they had and how they enjoyed the music.  Mission Accomplished!

Ever had a birthday party that started at 8am?  Today was our first too.  This party was primarily for children between the ages of 8 and 13 years of age.

The Venue was Buffalo Wild Wings in Lake Forest.  It’s a fairly new venue that really works hard to cater to the people who want to hold private events in their facility.  We were hired to provide the musical entertainment by the client while Buffalo Wild Wings also provided a Wii on the super large screen for the kids who didn’t want to dance.

So the main issue was how to get both the girls and boys entertained at the same time.  We did this by encouraging the kids to participate in sing-alongs to some of the hottest songs of today as well as group participation dances.  It went off perfectly!  All of the kids had a great time.  Mission Accomplished.
