Wendy and Ronnie Yesharim came to us looking for a DJ company to handle the entertainment at their daughter Maya’s Bat Mitzvah.  They wanted a DJ company that knew how to perform a Bat Mitzvah as well as one that knew how to engage the guest and keep both the adults and the kids entertained.  They were also looking for somene who knew how to buld an experience that the kids and their adult guests will remember for a long time.  We were able to accomplish exactly that.

We started by using our professional lighting services to add some ambiance to the room.  The theme was a Minnie and Mickey Mouse theme and was black and red.  So we added a little bit of red color to the walls with our famous up-lighting services and then added our Name in Lights and added a Mazel Tov Maya gobo as the center peice on the wall by the dance floor.  This way they had a nice back drop for their photos rather than just a plain white wall.  They Loved it!

Then our professionals emceeing skills combined with some of the great games we out together for the kids kep the guest entertained for the entire night.  Every single guests left with a smile on their face and an experience that they will remember for a long time.  Mission Sccomplished!

Now when we were hired for Shayna’s Bat Mitzvah we were told that Shayna Really likes her music and she wanted to her Bat Mitzvah to be all about the music and dancing.  Well, needless to say, they hired the right DJ company for that!

With our advanced knowledge of  Mitzvahs (our owner is Jewish) and our incredible knowledge of music we were able to deliver a fantastic event for everyone!

After we completed all of the formalities we had the dance floor packed the entire night.  So much that there really wasn’t any room for new people to join the dancing so we had to run genres in shifts and rotate the dance floor.  Everyone had a great time and got a chance to get out there and celebrate Shayna becoming a woman.  Mission Accomplished!

Venue- When selecting a venue, do not select a room with escapes for your guests (balconies, terraces, outside bars etc.) try to find a room where you can keep everything contained in one room.  You do this so people can’t accidentally seperate themselves from the activities or the celebration.  Otherwise you spend the night playing shepard trying to get everyone back in the room when it’s time to create a memory with a special activity like lighting the birthday cake or toasting or roasting of the night’s VIP.  You also want to make sure there is plenty of room to put the DJ next to the dance  floor since that is where he/she will be working  Otherwise its like seating someone away from their desk at work when there work is at the desk.

Timeline: Timeline development is an important part of the celebration that is very important for getting the guests energized and keeping them engaged in the celebration.  Try to limit the amount of dancing interruptions.  The more times you interrupt the dancing to do an activity, the harder it is to get the dance floor full again.  You should rely heavily on your DJ to help you create a timeline that will keep things moving forward and not bring the event to a sudden stop.

Vendors- Make sure when looking for vendors you hire poople that are professionals.  Just because someone does something for money does not make them a professional.  A true professional will take much of the stress away from you and allow you to act as a guest rather than having you run around and not get a chance to enjoy your celebration.  Sure they will be more expensive but it will be a decision you will be glad of versus regretting.

Another Packed Dance Floor!

This last weekend Orange County Mobile DJ company Music Man Event Professionals was the DJ of choice at the Bar Mitzvah of Noah Paul.  This Bar Mitzvah was an Orthodox Bar Mitzvah.  What this means is that when the dancing portion of the dinner starts, men and women cannot dance together.  They have to be separated.  What a challenge but we were up for it and we delivered!

We had the dance floor packed for some tradional jewish music where they hora’d their hats off and then into some of the more popular pop and hip hop music for the kids.  Everyone had a great time and we left to lots of hand shakes from the men (Women couldn’t shake our hands) and lots of you were awesome from the kids.  Mission accomplished!

Another Packed Dance Floor

This last Saturday Orange County DJ company Music Man Event Professions was hired to DJ a combination Halloween / Birthday Party. This group holds the party every year and has had problems with their regular DJ and decided to look for another. They found us.

For this party they were looking for a DJ that could get everyone out on the dance floor and keep everyone engaged and having a great time throughout the entire event. They wanted it to be different from most other Halloween parties in that they wanted hip hop and hits the entire time and none of the regular Halloween type stuff.

We accomplished exactly that and had the dance floor packed the entire night! So much that at the time the party was to end, 1:00am the host had to extend it an additional hour to keep the dance floor going. They explained that they had never had a party last this long and we were by far the best DJ they have ever seen. This client is a party planner and retained our services on the spot for a holiday party for December. Mission Accomplished!

We started with the lighting.  We had a big hill on one side of the property that was going to be the backdrop behind the sweetheart table.  This hill featured all kinds of California desert landscaping that lead up to a light brown brick wall.  While it looked beautiful during the day we knew that it could be dark and visually bland at night.  So we climbed this massive hill and gently covered it in rich fall colors.  We then created a custom name in lights package that we projected on the wall.  The result is what you see in the picture above.

Another Full Dance Floor

As far as entertainement goes, the bride and groom wanted to keep things simple and fun and that is exactly what we did!  We had the dance area packed with guests from the beginning to end and left with guest giving us rave reviews.  Mission Accomplished!

Orange County DJ Rocks Irvine

Orange County mobile DJ company Music Man Event Professionals was the DJ of choice for the Pittaway birthday celebration in Irvine CA.  The Pittaways were looking for a DJ who understood that they guest in attendance were more mature guest and would enjoy classic rock N Roll more than the hits of today.  They still wanted some modern music mixed in for some of the younger guests but not too much.

We were able to do exactly that!  Not only did we have the older guests up dancing and having a great time but we also had they younger ones dancing and singing too!  It was such a great time that several guests have since booked us for their upcoming events!  Mission Accomplished!

Disco Dancers Celebrate Studio 54 style

Orange County Mobile DJ company Music Man Event Professionals was the mobile DJ of choice at the Pederson house for a 50th birthday party in Newport Beach California. The host of the party was looking to create a “Studio 54″ theme within their house and retained Orange County DJ company Music Man Event professionals to provide the dance lighting and the musical entertainment.

Now the problem was there wasn’t a lot of room to bring a lot of equipment in to create this so we needed a small amount of equipment that would make a big impact. We were able to accomplish just that. Inside the house was the dancing area with nightclub style lighting and lots of great music. We had everyone dancing so much that they extended us way past our originally contracted time and said this was the best birthday party ever! Mission Accomplished!

The reunion planning committe had some concerns about their reunion.  They wanted it to be a reunion that people would really enjoy and remember.  In all honesty, they wanted it to be a great party!  So they came to Orange County’s favorite DJ company Music Man Event Professionals to see how we could help.

After spending some time really getting to understand what they were looking for we were able to use our extensive experience to make some recommendations on how we could make this reunion really stand out.  You see, the committee had been to other school reunions recently and were shocked at how many people didn’t participate in the event and instead wandered to other parts of the hotel to entertain themselves.  They were insistent that this not happen at their event.

First we needed to make the room inviting.  So we put together a lighting set up that would encourage a “party” mentality among the guests.  In this setup we included up lighting, a custom gobo and club style dance floor lighting.  By the time the sun went down and the lights were able to pop, the room looked great.  We received a lot of compliments on how good the room looked with the red uplighting (their school colors) and the gobo.

So next we had to work on a time line and we used our vast experience to counsel the committee on how the timeline show run in order to keep things moving and get people engaged quickly and out on the dance floor before we would lose them.  We had some announcements that had to be made and then also had to incorporate a live performance from a member of the class who is a musician and was going to play his guitar and sing.  (We provided sound support for him too!)

Our timeline worked flawlessly, we were able to get through all of the formalities that needed to happen and get them out on the dance floor!  After that they were hooked!  We had people engaged the entire night with people on the dance floor, making request and just having a great time!

At the end of the night we were greated with a thunderous applause and then had most of the remaining guests (by then it was midnight!) approaching us to tell we we did a phenomenal job.  This is exactly what we work extremely hard to hear.  We were glad to be a part of the Mission Viejo Class of 1980 reunion and were extremely glad we could contribute so much to the reunion’s success.
